The Official Release?
In order to make his videos, Brett takes the official audio directly from the artist's album and removes the drums. He then practices the song as he tries out different drum sounds using his electronic drum kit, which he created from three different electronic drum kits. Once Brett feels he’s learned the song and has decided which parts to play using specific drums, he records his tracks. The final step is tweaking the mix during the master mix-down to his liking. In the COMPARE VERSIONS videos below, Brett uses the tracks directly from the album with no EQ alterations or audio manipulations. The OFFICIAL AUDIO is exactly as it came off the artist’s album. During these videos, Brett switches back and forth between the official audio and his version of the song, substituting his drums and mix for the original, allowing the listener to hear the difference and sense the feel Brett is going for.
