My wonderful Mother recently passed away. For those of you who don't know, Lois Duncan Arquette was a wonderful bestselling, award-winning, young adult author who wrote like 50 books. A few of them were made into movies, such as "I Know What You Did Last Summer" and "Hotel for Dogs." When I started writing, even though my plots were not really her cup of tea, she was always my biggest fan. She loved me dearly every day of her life and I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful and loving Mother. A few days before she died, she told me that my new novel OPERATION HAIL STORM was my best work to date and she thought it would make a wonderful YA book as well as a movie. I dedicated Hail Storm to my mother. I miss a great deal. Thank you to everyone who wrote and sent their wishes and sentiments. Here's to my Might Mother.
